Our individual handmade 200gm (7oz) clootie dumpling is lovingly developed from a traditional Scottish recipe. Very rich, it can serve 1 or 2 people. The fine ingredients include raisins, sultanas, oatmeal, Tennents Sweetheart Stout and oak matured single malt whisky. The clootie (or cloutie) is individually steamed, and wrapped in greaseproof paper, muslin, and cellophane to keep it wonderfuly moist and tasty. Microwave for a minute or two, or steam for 15 minutes and serve with cream or custard.  Delicious! For a ceilidh band to go with your clootie hire The Loudon Ceilidh Band.

All orders are dispatched by 1st class post or Airmail. For export orders for clootie dumplings, the Customs H.S. Code is 190590. Last posting date for Christmas 2008: 21st December, our recommended date for Christmas and Hogmanay: 19th December, as we don't like the clootie dumplings to be hanging around in the post. No orders will be taken from 21st December until 3rd Jan 2009. The Shop may close earlier when stock is exhausted, we make our last batches around 12th December to allow time for full rich maturity before posting to you. During the rest of the year availability will vary, and you may have to wait up to 28 days for your order to be filled. We do not carry a large stock; our clootie dumplings have no artificial preservatives, and no added flavourings or colours. They should keep for 2 to 3 months after making, depending on conditions of storage.

For corporate hospitality, gifts or functions, we dispatch by courier or may deliver ourselves to make sure the clooties reach you in perfect condition. We'd appreciate as much notice as possible; larger quantities will be made to order on receipt of your firm order with payment (card, transfer, BACS or cleared cheque).
